From NALyzer
so WhatsApp has recently updated its privacy policy, and users have to accept the new terms and conditions until February 8 2021( it has pushed back the policy roll out by three months to May 15).
you have only two choice Either you have to accept that policy or you can uninstall it and switch over to any other messenger.
HOW DOES THE WHATSAPP MESSAGES WORKS?
Does whatsapp stores the messages and our sent files to their servers?
According to whatsapp the messages that you send not typically stores on their severs its usually stores in you device's memory. and once your message is delivered they are deleted from whatsapp's servers.
that means they stores that data for a while, until it gets delivered to the receiver.
and remember that data is always in encrypted so this is not a readable form.
Now what about the undelivered messages?
so the undelivered messages will be in encrypted form and in case if the message is not delivered immediately then they will keep that on their server in encrypted form for 30 days and try to deliver it, if a message is still undelivered after 30 days they gets deleted.
What does end-to-end encryption means
in end-to-end encryption the messages can be read only by the users it can't be viewed by the internet provider, telecom service provider even the communication service provider can not see that.
that means the data is changed into encrypted form and it get decrypted when its received by the user.
