we are going to talk about it today is this privacy policy is actually makes the whatsapp insecure.

WhatsApp has updated its privacy policy, and users haveto accept the new terms and conditions until February 8 2021.
as we know the WHATSAPP and INSTAGRAM both are owned by the FACEBOOK,
and now the new policy says the data they collect from their user will be shared with the FACEBOOK to make their advertisement more relevant to the user.
while whatsapp is completely free app and we know that if you are not paying for the product then you are the product.
This is what they have been doing for a long time but now they just mentioned that in their privacy policy page.
so what are the data is going to be collected and shared by the facebook.

no,whatsapp is not going to change the way it works
they are not breaking end to end encryption they still do not read your chats, your messages, your chats remains end to end encrypted no one third party is can/going to read them.

so what is the data that is going to be shared with facebook?
everything other then your chat is that data what is going to shared.
for example, your ip addres, your device details, your whatapp uses stats. they way you do things on whatsapp like status update your transaction and more.

According to the policy the reasons behind the data-sharing with Facebook is for ensuring better security and fighting spam to improving user experience, which were there in the previous policy as well.

Yes,If you don’t want to, then you have to delete your account and switch to another app.

Signal is also messaging app, free and end-to-end encrypted same as whatsapp, WhatsApp uses Signal’s protocol for its encryption. But Signal is not owned by any corporation, and is run by a nonprofit, and its also similar to the whatsapp.
second alternative is telegram.
so you can accept that privacy policy or can switch over to those other messaging services.
