LAPTOP BUYING GUIED FOR STUDENTS
There are a lot of things that you should consider when you are choosing a laptop but we are going to tell you about most important things that you must consider while buying a laptop for study.
MEMORY:
RAM:
you should consider minimum 8GB of RAM(or more) and upgradable for high end graphics students who are going to run graphics software like CAD.
but if you are a student who don't want to run any graphics software or 3D software then you can go with 4GB of RAM but it would be batter if you consider 8GB of ram for your laptop.
STORAGE:
you should prefer min 1 TB of storage in your laptop for both type of student.
TYPE OF MEMORY:
SSD storage is always a batter option if you want best persormance in your laptop and therr is no budget issue, you should definately look for SSD instead of hard disk drive. butt if you have low budget then you can go with HDD but try to avoid HDD if possibe.
PROCESSOR:
For 3D and graphics work
INTEL i5 10th gen min.
and if you want to go with Ryzen then Ryzen 5 3500U min is required atleast.
For normal students
INTEL i3 10th gen (min)
or for ryzen , you can choose Ryzen 5 3500U or up(min)
here we have a chart for
the processors according to the price in 2021:
Rs. 30k to 45k
if your budget id arround Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 35,000 then it should have i3 10th gen processor of intel core or higher.
INTEL CORE i3 is minimum requirement at this price point.
Rs 50k to 60k
if you can go with the price more that Rs 50k then it must include core i5 9th gen atleast or i5 10th gen or above.
Rs. 65k to 75k
if your budget is not so limited also not more than 70k then you should consider core i5 10th gen (min).processor should not be the lower gen than the 10th of core i5 or intel core i7
Rs. 80k or more...
if your budget is about Rs. 80k or above then you can go with the core i7 10th gen.
and if you can spend more where price is not the point then you can go with higher gen of intel core like i7 10th gen or i9 processors
but as a student you don't really need that much high specs but if you don't have any budget issue then intel core i9 10th gen in always a batter choice.
also if the budget not actually matters then you should go with the macbook which are the best option. because they are easy to use portable and gives you actually seem less experience.
macOS will be pretty handy and the apple ecosystem will make you more productive.
but again if you have low budget issue then intel core processors that we mentioned earlier is sufficient for study purpose you don't necessarily need a macbook.
GRAPHICS:
there are 2 types of graphics card for laptop. integrated and dedicated or discrete.
integrated is perfect if you are going to do normal gaming, watching movies, or just browsing web surfing.
while the dedicated ones handles graphics intensive task for like graphical software and games.
for example
If you are a normal computer science or other student then you don't really need that much high end graphics for you the INTEL integrated GPU is enough to have in your laptop.
but if you are a graphics designing student or you want to run any graphical software in your laptop then you should consider 2GB to 4GB of dedicated GPU(min) or higher as per your requirement.
DISPLAY:
14 to 15 inches screen is actually more than enough for your need. You should look for full HD display 1080p resolution with anti glare.
IPS display if available but not must.
PORTABILITY AND WEIGHT:
Laptop should be lightweight and thin.
it should be less than 2Kg because you have to carry it with your backpack.
OPRATING SYSTEM:
for windows laptop you can prefer windows 10.
for macOS you can go with Apple macbook but if there is budget issue then you should go with windows laptop.
